Posting more isn't a social strategy — here's what actually is

When a brand's engagement stalls, the instinct is almost always "we need to post more." It's rarely the right diagnosis. More undifferentiated content just accelerates how quickly an audience learns to ignore you.

What actually works is picking three or four content pillars — repeatable formats tied to a clear purpose — and running them consistently long enough for an audience to recognize them. A behind-the-scenes series. A recurring FAQ format. A weekly customer spotlight. Predictability builds habit, and habit builds reach.

Then measure the pillars against each other, not against a vague "engagement" number. One format might drive saves, another drives comments, another drives link clicks. Different goals need different formats — and knowing which is which tells you where to actually invest your time.

Cut whatever isn't earning its place after a fair trial. Most feeds we inherit have five or six formats running and only two of them are doing any real work.
